Vera Antunes, pillar of the ALEBA’s secretary office
Born in Portugal, she arrived in the Grand Duchy at the age of 10 months. Vera Antunes, who will turn 45 soon, is a key figure in the ALEBA office. On March 20th, she celebrated her 20th year of service as Administrative Officer.
With a CATP, Vera started her professional career in a law firm before joining ALEBA in 2001. Since then, she has never left the leading trade union of the Luxembourg financial center. “I have been able to find my feet“, she observes.
In the administration department, Vera performs both secretarial and administrative tasks. She also does the bookkeeping. In her daily work, she brings her knowledge, her good humor, her frankness, her expertise, her professionalism and her willingness “to continue learning every day”, she stresses.
In return, ALEBA brings her “knowledge, recognition from the members when we help and comfort them“. What does she like most about her job? “The contact with people, the diversity of tasks to be accomplished, the collegiality and the mutual help“, which exists within the union office.
When asked if she has any passions, Vera spontaneously replies: “My children are everything for me, and above all my greatest achievement“. She really enjoys being with them and taking time for herself. “Being with my family recharges my batteries,” she says. A woman with a heart of gold, Vera says that she loves helping people.
Like the rest of the ALEBA team, Vera currently works from home, as well as in the office, and can be reached from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm via 223 228 1, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
She is teamed up with Patrick Mendes in the Administration Department, which is mainly in charge of member relations, under the direct responsibility of Roberto Mendolia, President of ALEBA.
