Ordinary General Meeting of June 30, 2020

It is by video-conference that was held, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and as provided for by the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 20 March 2020, on Tuesday 30 June 2020, from 6 pm, the Annual Ordinary General Meeting of the ALEBA. President Roberto Mendolia opened the meeting with a word of welcome, thanking all those attending the conference remotely.

In his speech he first looked back on his first year of mandate, before discussing his priorities and the major projects to come: new CCT for Banks and Insurance, homeworking, etc.

The General Secretary, Laurent Mertz took stock of the past twelve months by presenting the activity report from June 2019 to June 2020.

Unfortunately, this was once again a year marked by many job losses, at a time when the Banks’ balance sheets and Fund’s Assets are still increasing significantly. Laurent Mertz also came back to the point of COVID-19 crisis and its consequences.

The General Treasurer, Alain Back, finally presented the accounts and balance sheet of 2019 as well as the 2020 budget.

All the regulatory discharges were carried out by online surveys, in the majority.
